ADAM SCOTT

Date of Birth: April 3, 1973

Born in Santa Cruz, California, Adam Scott is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He began his onscreen career in the independent film Cityscrapes: Los Angeles (1994). A slew of guest appearances on hit TV series such as ER, Boy Meets World, Murder One and NYPD Blue followed.

By 1998, he was playing a recurring role as Josh Macon on Party of Five. A regular role as Phillip on the ABC drama series Wasteland followed. Scott's first role in a major motion picture was as Johnny Meyer in Martin Scorse's The Aviator (2004), starring Leonardo DiCaprio. He then played opposite Pierce Brosnan in The Matador (2005) and appeared with Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda in Monster-in-Law (2005). Other film credits include Knocked Up (2007), Step Brothers (2008), Passenger Side (2010) and Leap Year (2010).

Currently, he is the star of the Starz original comedy series Party Down. Recent and upcoming projects include the Weinstein-produced Piranha 3D (2010) with Elizabeth Shue and Richard Dreyfuss, the comedy My Idiot Brother (2011) with Paul Rudd and Zooey Deschanel, Friends with Kids (2012) alongside an all-star cast and The Guilt Trip (2012) with Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand.
