ROSSIF SUTHERLAND

Date of Birth: September 25, 1978

The middle of Donald Sutherland's three sons with his third wife, actress Francine Racette, Rossif Sutherland was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, but raised in France with his mother. Following in the acting footsteps of his father, mother and famous half-brother Kiefer, Rossif made his film debut in the 2003 Paramount major motion picture, Timeline, starring Paul Walker and Gerard Butler.

On TV, he played the recurring role of Lester Kertzenstein on the 10th season of the hit series ER. A role in the independent film Red Doors (2005) followed, as well as an appearance on the TV series Monk before picking up a supporting role in Equinoxe Films' I'm Reed Fish (2006) starring Alexis Bledel and Jay Baruchel. In the racially-charged film Poor Boy's Game (2007), Rossif starred opposite Danny Glover as an ex-con who wants to overcome the past.

Since then, Rossif has become an in-demand actor, appearing in no less than three films at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. He has also appeared on many major Canadian TV series and TV series filmed in Canada in the past few years, including Being Erica, Flashpoint (for which he received an ACTRA Award nomination in the "Outstanding Performance - Male" category), Reign (played a recurring role as Nostradamus), Haven, Covert Affairs and Unité 9.

Musically talented, Rossif has also worked on TV and movie soundtracks and enjoys playing folk rock/acoustic songs. He lives in Toronto with his girlfriend.
